Promoting Member events – Terms & Conditions

The Chamber website is available to assist Chamber Members in promoting special events that they are actively hosting, sponsoring or involved with.

Events are defined as "organised activities open to other Chamber members that have a clearly defined start and end date". Examples of activities that are considered as events are: charity days, seminars, workshops, discussion forums, awards nights, etc.

The Chamber Committee do not consider that retail sales and promotions activities fall under the umbrella of an event.

To promote your event, include a short description (200 word maximum) and a single information flier (in .pdf format - max size 1MB) in the appropriate area of the Chamber website. The Chamber Committee reserves the right to remove, without notice, Member Events that do not, from the Committee’s perspective, meet these guidelines.

NOTE: The Chamber Management Committee has the right to remove any materials or offers that do not comply with these conditions. Any text or materials that are deemed unacceptable by the Chamber Committee will be removed without notice. This includes materials of an offensive, sexist, racist, pornographic, profane, libelous, political, religious, unsavoury and/or bigoted nature. Political statements will not be accepted.

Member Offers – Terms & Conditions

The following conditions are provided for members wishing to provide offers and/or discounts to other Chamber members:

  • Your offer must be a genuine discount or special offer that is available specifically to Chamber members – not an offer to the general public.
  • The Chamber Management Committee has the right to remove any materials or offers that do not comply with these conditions
  • Any text or materials that are deemed unacceptable by the Chamber Committee will be removed without notice. This includes materials of an offensive, sexist, racist, pornographic, profane, libelous, political, religious, unsavoury and/or bigoted nature. Political statements will not be accepted.
  • Your Member Offer can be a standing discount or offer OR something that is timebound or limited by supply.

    For example: you may offer a discount of x% for Chamber members who purchase over a set amount of product or service OR You may provide a special package just for Chamber members OR You may offer a standing discount of x% or $y to all Chamber members.

To promote your offer to members, please provide the following details on your page of the Chamber Website:

  1. Your offer (be specific - max 200 words)
  2. You can add a single flier or brochure (preferred format is .pdf format - max size 1MB) to support your offer.
  3. Please explain how you would like Chamber members to identify themselves in order to qualify for your offer.
  4. You must specify if the offer has an "end date" or whether it is a standing offer.

Your Business Details – Terms & Conditions

The following Terms & Conditions are provided for members using the Chamber of Commerce website:

  • This website is the property of the Bundaberg & District Chamber of Commerce and member access is provided at the complete discretion of the Chamber Management Committee
  • Members will have permission to post a range of details about their business on the website. All postings are at the discretion of the Chamber Management Committee
  • Only financial members of the Bundaberg & District Chamber of Commerce will be able to post materials on the website
  • The Chamber Management Committee has the right to remove any materials or offers that do not comply with the conditions of use
  • Any text or materials that are deemed unacceptable by the Chamber Committee will be removed without notice. This includes materials of an offensive, sexist, racist, pornographic, profane, libelous, political, religious, unsavoury and/or bigoted nature. Political statements will not be accepted.
